Upper and lower eyelid correction
After consulting several plastic surgeons, I ended up at Global Care Clinic! And I’m so glad I did! I received clear information in advance and knew exactly what to expect. You’re not treated like just a number here, but as a “miss”. The relaxed atmosphere is reflected in the care you get as a patient. When I went in for the surgery, I had already chosen general anesthesia. I was very happy with that decision, had no discomfort afterward, and experienced NO pain. The aftercare and the personal contact with the doctor were also excellent! One word: Topteam!

At the end of January 2025, I had an eyelid correction with a phenol peel under my eyes and a TCA peel for my entire face performed by Dr. Nelissen. It was a familiar place for me because 16 years earlier, I had also had eyelid surgery done by him, and now it was time for a refresh.

Dr. Nelissen gave me good advice, for example, I wanted to have my bags under the eyes removed, to which the doctor had me look in the mirror and asked where I saw those bags. The phenol peel turned out to be a great solution to tighten the skin under my eyes. Since I do not live nearby, I stayed in a hotel close to the clinic the night before and after the treatment.

The treatments went really well, recovery was quick, and the result is very beautiful. I took two weeks off work to become presentable again. The clinic staff were all very kind and attentive, and they took their time with me. I highly recommend this clinic.

On May 31, 2023, I had an upper and lower eyelid correction done, along with a GBL. The guidance and information, both before and after the procedure, were simply outstanding. No question was too much, and an additional consultation when I felt a little anxious (even on Saturdays and Sundays) was always welcomed, with the same smile and dedication. I am so happy that I took the step to have my upper eyelids lifted! No one around me noticed that I had ‘something’ done, but my gaze now looks much fresher and more open. Also, my eyelids no longer feel as heavy in the evenings as they did before. I didn’t experience any pain! I just looked a bit like a little Chinese person for a short while (it lasted about a week). I was already a patient of Dr. Nelissen (for Botox), but now I am incredibly satisfied with the results of this eyelid correction.

Almost three months ago now, I had eyelid surgery done by Dr. Nelissen, and I haven’t regretted it for a single moment. What an amazing result! No more drooping eyelids, but an open look again, and the scar is fading more and more. During my consultation, I was warmly welcomed, on the day of the surgery, the team took great care of me, and even now, the aftercare remains excellent. Whenever I have questions, I can always reach out to Valerie, and Dr. Nelissen is always very professional and highly involved during check-ups. The surgery itself was painless, and after a week, the stitches were already removed. If I had known this before, I would have done it much sooner. In short, a very positive experience!
