Flair Magazine tests the MiraDry treatment: sweat-free all day long!
If you struggle with excessive sweating, you’ve probably tried everything — from extra-strong deodorants to unpleasant Botox injections that need to be repeated every six months.
But what if there’s a permanent solution?
Flair Magazine decided to test the MiraDry treatment — a revolutionary method to permanently target the sweat glands in the armpits.
What is MiraDry?
MiraDry is a non-invasive treatment that uses electromagnetic energy to destroy the sweat glands in the armpits. Since the body doesn’t regenerate these glands, the results are permanent. On top of that, the treatment also reduces unwanted odor and underarm hair — a nice bonus!
Flair Magazine’s test
A Flair editor underwent the treatment and shared her honest experience. She described the procedure as surprisingly comfortable. After the numbing was applied, she only felt some warmth and light pressure. The whole procedure took about an hour.
In the first few days after the treatment, there was some mild swelling and tenderness, but this quickly subsided.
The result? No more sweat stains, even on hot days or during stressful moments. The editor called it a real game-changer and was especially happy to finally ditch deodorants.
Is MiraDry for you?
Had enough of sweat stains, odor, and endlessly spraying deodorant? Then MiraDry might be the solution you’re looking for. The treatment is safe, effective, and delivers long-lasting results. Curious? Make sure to get informed by an experienced specialist. At Global Care Clinic, this treatment has been successfully performed for over 8 years (as one of the first in the Benelux).

Sana (27 years old) - MiraDry
Three years ago, I underwent a MiraDry treatment for sweating. It wasn’t so much the amount of sweat that bothered me, but the odor that came with it. I’ve been ashamed of it since puberty. At work, I always had extra tops with me and had to change my blouse multiple times a day. Especially before or after meetings, because I would sweat even more from the nerves. I also asked female colleagues several times to tell me if they smelled anything.
A thousand and one questions:
I knew Maria, who works for MiraDry, and she told me everything about the treatment. I was afraid of it because it sounded pretty invasive. You get a local anesthetic, and then the sweat glands under your arms are deactivated using heat. I had a thousand and one questions, but got answers to everything. So, I decided to go for it.
Tennis balls under your arms:
Before the treatment, I was so nervous. I wasn’t allowed to shave my armpits or use deodorant, so I arrived sweating and stinking heavily. First, they do a sweat test with powder that turns black on the areas where you sweat the most. Everything on me turned black. Luckily, I didn’t feel the treatment itself. Afterward, I got ice packs for the swelling and pain. On the way home, we had to stop because they had already melted, so we bought packaged ice creams to hold under my arms (laughs). With a painkiller, the pain wasn’t too bad, but because of the swelling, it literally felt like a tennis ball was under my armpit. After about two weeks, the swelling and bruises were gone.
More confidence:
It’s an expensive treatment, and recovery takes a while, but for me, it was so worth it. I gained so much more confidence. I used to have to wash my blazers or blouses after wearing them, but now I only need to wash them if I spill something on them (laughs). I even bought satin blouses, something I could never wear before! Strangely enough, I don’t even think about it anymore. It used to be such a huge issue in my life, and since it’s been resolved, I don’t even think about it.
